IPL Auction 2025: Comprehensive List Of Uncapped Indian And Overseas Players

The IPL 2025 Mega Auction is set for November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Ten franchises will aim to strengthen their squads during this event. The auction will feature a total of 574 players, with over 200 going under the hammer as teams prepare for the upcoming Indian Premier League season scheduled from March to May 2025.

During the auction, up to 204 players can be selected, including slots for 70 overseas players. Initially, the first 117 players will be presented in a set order. Afterward, an accelerated process will allow franchises to choose additional players from a list they compile.

A significant portion of the auction list comprises uncapped players. Out of the total 574 players, 330 are uncapped. Among these, 318 are Indian players, while others hail from Afghanistan (1), Australia (2), England (4), South Africa (2), New Zealand (1), and Sri Lanka (2).

Franchises might be interested in talents like Ashutosh Sharma, Nehal Wadhera, Anuj Rawat, Sameer Rizwi, and Mahipal Lomror. These players have previously shown potential in past IPL seasons and could attract substantial bids based on their performances.

Teams with larger budgets may target star players such as Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Jos Buttler, and Shreyas Iyer. Meanwhile, teams with tighter budgets might focus on assembling squads by signing emerging talents who have yet to make a mark internationally.

The auction also includes capped Indian players eligible as uncapped due to not playing international matches for over five years. Notable names include Piyush Chawla, Mohit Sharma, Vijay Shankar, Karn Sharma, and Mayank Markande.
