Buttler And Jordan Shine As England Clinches T20 World Cup Semi-Final Berth
England confirmed their place in the T20 World Cup semi-finals after a commanding 10-wicket victory over the United States on Sunday. Chris Jordan was instrumental at the end of the USA's innings, taking a hat-trick to finish with impressive figures of 4-10. Jos Buttler contributed significantly, scoring 83 off 38 balls, ensuring England's win with 62 deliveries to spare.
Reece Topley set the tone early by dismissing Andries Gous for eight in the first over. Although Nitish Kumar (30) and Corey Anderson (29) attempted to build momentum for the tournament co-hosts, their efforts were short-lived. Jordan's entry into the game saw him take four wickets in five balls, bowling out the USA for just 115 in 18.5 overs.

England's openers completed the chase without losing a wicket. Phil Salt scored 25, while Buttler dominated with his knock, hitting six fours and seven sixes, including one that struck the stadium roof. Matthew Mott's side became the first team to advance to the last four, thanks to their superior net run-rate over West Indies and South Africa, who played later on Sunday.

Jordan became the eighth player to achieve a hat-trick of wickets in T20 World Cup history. He also set a new record for most catches by an England fielder in T20Is, surpassing Eoin Morgan's previous record of 46 with his 47th catch.
Buttler marked his first half-century of the tournament in this match. He scored 32 of his 83 runs in a single over, hitting five sixes in the ninth over before adding another at the start of the 10th to secure England's victory.
