Delhi Premier League 2024: Leading Wicket-Takers Unveiled After Match 3

The Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2024 began on Saturday, August 17, with South Delhi Superstarz securing a three-wicket victory over Purani Dilli 6 in the opening match.

Rishabh Pant and Ayush Badoni were notable players in the first game. South Delhi Superstarz bowlers Divij Mehra, Ayush Badoni, and Kunwar Bidhuri each took a wicket, limiting Purani Dilli 6 to 197/3 in their 20 overs.

DPL 2024 Top Wicket-Takers

The inaugural season of the Delhi Premier League 2024 features six teams: Purani Dilli 6, South Delhi Superstarz, Central Delhi Kings, West Delhi Lions, North Delhi Strikers, and East Delhi Riders. A total of 33 matches will be played, including two semi-finals and a final on September 8.

All matches are scheduled to take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The top four teams from the league stage will advance to the semi-finals.

In their chase, South Delhi reached the target with three wickets in hand and five balls to spare. Shivam Sharma from Purani Dilli bowled impressively, taking two wickets for 38 runs in his four overs.
