West Indies Legend Deandra Dottin Announces Cricket Comeback After Two-Year Break

West Indies women's cricket legend Deandra Dottin has announced her return to cricket two years after announcing a shock retirement.

Dottin, now 33, had cited a "negative team environment" as the reason for her retirement. She felt the atmosphere was not conducive to her thriving or reigniting her passion for the game.

Cricket West Indies announced that Dottin expressed her desire to return through a letter. "Representing West Indies in international cricket has always been a matter of great pride and for me," she wrote.

One of the top female all-rounders of this century, Dottin has an impressive record. In 143 one-day internationals, she has scored 3,727 runs and taken 72 wickets. In T20 internationals, she has played 127 matches, scoring 2,697 runs and claiming 62 wickets.

Dottin will be available for West Indies' T20 World Cup campaign in October. The team is placed in Group B alongside England, Scotland, South Africa, and hosts Bangladesh.
