Criteria To Become The Next Head Coach Of The Indian Cricket Team
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced an opening for the Head Coach position of the India men's senior team. The advertisement was released on Monday, May 13, with the deadline for applications set for May 27 at 6 pm IST.
Rahul Dravid, the current coach, will see his contract expire after the T20 World Cup. While Dravid is eligible to reapply, there will be no automatic extension of his contract this time. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah mentioned that a foreign coach could also be considered, depending on the outcome of an extensive interview process.

To apply for the role of India's head coach, candidates must meet specific criteria. There are four knowledge-based criteria and one age criterion.
The applicant should have played a minimum of 30 Test Matches or 50 ODIs for their national team.
Or
The applicant should have been a Head Coach of a full member Test Playing Nation for at least two years.
Or
The applicant should have been a Head Coach of an Associate member, IPL Team, or equivalent international league/first-class teams/national A teams for at least three years.
Or
The applicant should possess a BCCI Level 3 Certification or its equivalent.
Additionally, candidates must be below 60 years of age to qualify for the position.
The BCCI anticipates receiving numerous applications and it remains to be seen who will be appointed as the next head coach for the Indian team.
