Bilal Khan, an Oman seamer of Pakistan origin, has set a new record by becoming the fastest pacer to reach 100 ODI wickets. He achieved this milestone in just 49 matches, surpassing Shaheen Afridi's previous record of 51 matches.
During Oman's ICC CWC League 2 match against Namibia, Bilal Khan took three wickets, finishing with figures of 3/50 in his ten overs. His efforts helped restrict Namibia to a total of 196/9 after their allotted 50 overs.

The Pakistani pacer Shaheen Afridi has been dethroned from his position as the fastest pacer to reach the century mark in ODI wickets. This title now belongs to Bilal Khan, who managed to achieve it in two fewer matches than Afridi.
Mohammed Shami is the quickest Indian pacer to reach a century of scalps, achieving this milestone in 56 matches. Jasprit Bumrah follows closely, reaching the mark in 57 matches.
Bilal debuted in ODIs in April 2019 and has since secured four five-wicket hauls in this format. His impressive record extends to T20s as well, where he has claimed 110 wickets in 78 games at an economy rate of 6.78.
