Big Bash League Season 14: Complete Schedule, Venues And Key Dates Announced
Cricket Australia (CA) has unveiled the schedule for the Big Bash League (BBL) Season 14, which will take place from December 2024 to January 2025. The tournament will feature 44 matches, a reduction of 17 games from the previous season, and will include six double headers.
The regular season is set to begin on December 15 and will run until January 19. The finals series, including the playoffs and knockouts, will commence on January 21 and conclude with the Final on January 27, which is a national public holiday in Australia.
The BBL 14 season opener will see Perth Scorchers taking on Melbourne Stars at Optus Stadium. The second match of the tournament will feature Sydney Sixers hosting Melbourne Renegades on December 16. Notably, the Melbourne Derbies between Renegades and Stars are scheduled for January 4 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and January 12 at Marvel Stadium.
Sydney Derbies between Sixers and Thunder are set for December 21 at ENGIE Stadium and January 17 at the SCG. These matches are expected to draw significant attention from fans.
The upcoming BBL season coincides with the India vs Australia Test series. Fourteen BBL matches will take place during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. However, Australian Test players may return to participate in BBL after their series concludes on January 7.

The finals series for BBL Season14 will start with The Qualifier on January21 .The Knockout match is scheduled for January22 .The Challenger game will be played on January24 .The season will culminate with The Final on January27 .A reserve day has been set for January28 if needed.
