Bangladesh set a new record for the lowest total defended in the T20 World Cup on Monday, June 17, by successfully defending 106 against Nepal in a Group D match of the 2024 edition at the Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown, St Vincent.

Pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib's career-best figures of 4 for 7, including an impressive 21 dot balls, highlighted Bangladesh's dominant bowling performance. This victory secured the final Super 8 spot for Bangladesh in the ongoing tournament with a 21-run win against Nepal in their last group stage game.
