Australia Dominates Pakistan To Achieve 3-0 Series Whitewash In T20I Cricket

Australia secured a comprehensive 3-0 series win against Pakistan with a decisive seven-wicket triumph in the third T20I at Hobart's Bellerive Oval. Marcus Stoinis was the star, smashing an unbeaten 61 off just 27 balls. His powerful hitting, including several towering sixes, led Australia to chase down the target of 118 with ease, finishing with 52 balls remaining.

Pakistan chose to bat first and initially looked strong thanks to Babar Azam and Haseebullah Khan. They reached 58/1 during the Powerplay. However, Adam Zampa's effective leg-spin disrupted their progress. He dismissed Haseebullah with his fifth ball and later bowled Babar for 41 with a yorker, ending with impressive figures of 2/11 from four overs.

Australia Secures 3-0 Series Win Over Pakistan

Aaron Hardie shone in his home series debut, exploiting Pakistan's middle-order weaknesses. He took 3/17, including a maiden over, dismissing stand-in captain Salman Ali Agha and lower-order batsmen Usman Khan and Abbas Afridi. Spencer Johnson (2/24), Xavier Bartlett (1/25), and Nathan Ellis (1/20) also contributed as Pakistan collapsed to 117 in 18.1 overs, losing nine wickets for just 56 runs after the Powerplay.

Australia's chase began shakily when Matt Short (4) and Jake Fraser-McGurk (18) fell early. Captain Josh Inglis steadied the innings with a composed 27. However, it was Stoinis who stole the show by launching an attack in the ninth over against Haris Rauf, scoring 20 runs including a massive six that cleared the members' stand roof.

Stoinis continued his assault on Shaheen Afridi, sending several breathtaking shots into the Ricky Ponting Stand. He reached his half-century in just 23 balls and ended with five sixes and five fours, ensuring Australia's comfortable win. The match concluded unexpectedly when Stoinis was caught at deep square leg with scores tied but was saved by a no-ball call.

This commanding victory highlighted Australia's dominance in the T20I series through disciplined bowling and explosive batting. For Pakistan, it was a disappointing end to their tour despite their earlier historic ODI series win.
