Australia Includes Uncapped All-Rounder Beau Webster As Cover For Mitchell Marsh In Upcoming Test
Australia has included Beau Webster, an uncapped all-rounder, in their squad as a backup for Mitchell Marsh. This addition comes ahead of the second Test against India at the Adelaide Oval, scheduled for December 6.
Mitchell Marsh, aged 33, is uncertain for the upcoming pink ball Test in Adelaide. He experienced soreness following Australia's significant 295-run defeat in Perth earlier this week.

Webster, like Marsh, is a right-handed pace all-rounder and has excelled in the Sheffield Shield over the past two years. The 30-year-old has amassed 1,788 runs, including five centuries and nine half-centuries.
In Tasmania's recent Sheffield Shield match against New South Wales, Webster impressed with scores of 61 and 49 and took five wickets. He also played for Australia A against India A earlier this month.
"To get a few runs and wickets (for Australia A) was pleasing against a strong Indian side," Webster stated to cricket.com.au before Thursday's announcement.
"Any time you're playing 'A' cricket, it's the one step below Test level, so it does hold you in good stead. To get the call from 'Bails' (men's selection chair George Bailey) at the end of the NSW game was a really proud moment and I can't wait to get stuck in," he added.
Webster has enhanced his skills by adding seam-bowling to his repertoire four years ago. He will join the squad next week in Adelaide after being named Sheffield Shield player of the year last summer and maintaining that form this season.
Squad Adjustments and Injuries
Despite Australia's disappointing performance in Perth, coach Andrew McDonald confirmed no changes would be made to the home team for the Adelaide Test starting December 6.
Marnus Labuschagne retains his place despite recent struggles. Josh Inglis might feature as a specialist batter as Australia aims to recover from their loss in Perth. Here's a look at Australia's Test squad:
