ZHO, CMRC Partnership Elevates Care For People Of Determination At Host Centre
In a significant move to enhance the quality of care for People of Determination, the Zayed Higher Organisation (ZHO) has entered into a pivotal agreement with the Cambridge Centre for Medicine and Rehabilitation (CMRC). This partnership aims to elevate the services provided at the Host Centre, a facility dedicated to the long-term care and rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities. The contract was formalised by Abdullah Al-Humaidan, ZHO Secretary-General, and Dr. Howard Podolsky, CMRC Group Chief Executive, marking a milestone in healthcare provision for People of Determination.
The collaboration between ZHO and CMRC is set to introduce a comprehensive suite of specialised services at the Host Centre. These include nursing, applied behaviour analysis, pharmaceutical services, physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, dietary consultations, and dental care. Tailored specifically to meet the needs of People of Determination, these services underscore ZHO’s commitment to fostering an environment that supports educational, occupational, cultural, and social empowerment.
Al-Humaidan emphasised the organisation's dedication to delivering top-tier care and rehabilitation across its facilities. By entrusting CMRC with the management of the Host Centre, ZHO aims to uphold the highest standards of care, supervision, and integration for its residents. This initiative is expected to significantly enhance their overall well-being and facilitate their integration into society.
The Host Centre, established in 2013 and located in Abu Dhabi's Mafraq area, is supported by the Health Authority—Abu Dhabi. With 80 beds available, it offers long-term accommodation and continuous support for adolescents and adults facing complex medical and mental health challenges. The centre is equipped to provide round-the-clock high-level nursing care alongside a comprehensive range of medical, nursing, therapeutic, and rehabilitation services.
This facility stands out for its high-quality care tailored for individuals with complex psychological disorders and severe physical disabilities. It extends its services to inpatients requiring long-term care as well as rehabilitation services for children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly across various levels of mental and physical care needs.
The partnership between ZHO and CMRC represents a significant step forward in enhancing the quality of life for People of Determination. By combining resources and expertise, both organisations are set to make substantial improvements in the care and rehabilitation services available to this important segment of society.
