The meeting focused on deepening bilateral ties, addressing regional security challenges and confirming shared positions on recent attacks against the UAE.
Both delegations reviewed existing friendship relations between the UAE and the Czech Republic and looked at how to expand them. Discussions covered economic, energy and other priority sectors, with an emphasis on initiatives that could support development strategies in each country and reinforce their mutual interests.
The two sides examined the impact of the unprovoked Iranian terrorist attacks that targeted civilian sites and facilities in the UAE using missiles and drones. They evaluated how such incidents affect international maritime security, energy supplies and the wider global economy, given the UAE’s role as a transport and energy hub.
The talks also addressed the unprovoked terrorist drone attacks launched from Iraqi territory. This included the incident that targeted the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant last Sunday. The attack damaged an electricity generator located outside the facility’s inner perimeter, drawing attention to the risks facing critical infrastructure in the region.
Andrej Babiš expressed the Czech Republic’s solidarity with the UAE and stated his government’s condemnation of these unprovoked terrorist attacks. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed welcomed this supportive stance, describing it as an important signal of international backing for the UAE’s security and stability.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Czech Republic. He highlighted interest in broader, constructive collaboration that advances shared priorities. Both parties also exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues and developments of mutual concern, underlining ongoing diplomatic coordination.
During the visit, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic hosted a luncheon for H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and the accompanying delegation, reflecting the close nature of the engagement. Saeed Al Hajeri, Minister of State, attended the meeting, underscoring the importance the UAE attached to the discussions.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed conveyed appreciation for the Czech Republic’s position and reiterated that all residents and visitors in the UAE are safe.
