Zayed Higher Organisation And Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority Sign MoU To Empower People Of Determination

The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority. This agreement is designed to empower those benefiting from the Social Support Programme, including People of Determination. The MoU outlines plans to identify necessary training and professional programmes to help these individuals join the workforce.

Under this agreement, both parties will share data on beneficiaries through electronic integration. The Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority will assess applicants based on evaluation reports from ZHO. This assessment will determine qualifications, types of disabilities, and work capacity. Priority will be given to those meeting criteria in ZHO's programmes, which include volunteer and community initiatives.

ZHO is committed to building partnerships with national institutions to enhance services for People of Determination. Abdullah Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of ZHO, highlighted their dedication to empowering this group for workforce integration. He praised the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority's role in supporting low-income families through empowerment initiatives.

Dr. Bushra Abdullah Al Mulla, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority, acknowledged ZHO's efforts in integrating People of Determination into society. She stated that the MoU ensures beneficiaries receive opportunities that enhance their societal contributions and workforce participation.

The MoU also involves selecting target groups for agreed-upon programmes and establishing participation criteria. Additionally, family members will participate in care programmes offered by ZHO for People of Determination. This involvement aims to promote social integration and support within families.

ZHO will provide a list of available training and rehabilitation programmes to the Authority. They will also issue ID cards when needed and offer advisory services tailored to beneficiaries' needs. Workshops and social education programmes for families are part of this initiative to enhance skills in supporting People of Determination.

The Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority aims to form strategic partnerships with various institutions. Their goal is to provide a social safety net for beneficiary families in Abu Dhabi, fostering financial independence and social activity among them.
