Zayed Higher Organisation And China Disabled Persons’ Federation Sign MoU To Enhance Support For People Of Determination

The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) has formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF). This agreement was signed during an official visit by a ZHO delegation to Beijing, aiming to expand international partnerships and enhance expertise exchange to empower People of Determination. This collaboration represents a significant step in strengthening global cooperation in supporting this community.

The MoU was signed by Abdullah Abdulalee Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of ZHO, and Zhou Changkui, Chairman of CDPF. The signing ceremony took place at the Federation's headquarters, attended by senior officials from both sides and members of the UAE diplomatic mission in Beijing. The event underscored the strong bilateral relations and mutual appreciation for institutions supporting People of Determination.

MoU Signed Between Zayed Organisation and China Federation

This new agreement seeks to widen cooperation between the two organisations, focusing on exchanging expertise in education, rehabilitation, employment, arts, culture, sports, and services for People of Determination. It includes organising mutual visits for specialists to share best practices, conducting joint workshops and training programmes for professionals, and collaborating on research related to empowerment services.

The MoU also outlines the exchange of periodic reports on joint activities and performance improvements through ongoing evaluation. These efforts aim to enhance services for People of Determination in both the UAE and China. Abdullah Al Humaidan expressed that renewing this MoU reflects their commitment to joint work and knowledge exchange.

Al Humaidan highlighted that their relationship with CDPF is strategic and has already led to successful projects like the Emirati-Chinese Sign Language Dictionary. This initiative enables deaf communities in both countries to communicate effectively. He emphasised that international cooperation is crucial for developing services amid rapid advancements in rehabilitation technologies.

Zhou Changkui affirmed that the MoU builds upon existing constructive cooperation between the parties. "We value the strong relations with Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination," he stated. He noted that the bilingual dictionary project is a prominent outcome of this collaboration, anticipating more achievements.

Cultural Exchange and Future Initiatives

The visit included cultural activities such as a tour of the Imperial Palace Museum and a sensory experience at an exhibition designed for People of Determination. Through such international agreements, ZHO continues to advance its vision aligned with UAE's goals in serving this community.
