Zayed Authority For People Of Determination Unveils AI-Powered Project To Enhance Service Delivery

The Zayed Authority for People of Determination has introduced an innovative project at GITEX, the world's largest technology event. This initiative involves an intelligent robot powered by artificial intelligence (AI) to approve People of Determination cards. This marks a significant step in the UAE's commitment to using modern technology for societal benefit.

The project showcases the Authority's dedication to integrating advanced AI applications into government services. This aligns with Abu Dhabi and the UAE's vision to enhance digital inclusion and improve life quality for all citizens. The smart robot system reads and analyses medical documents submitted by applicants, verifying their authenticity and determining disability types based on the updated Disability Classification Guide 2025.

Once verification is complete, the system automatically issues approval or rejection decisions, clearly explaining the reasons. This enhances accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in service delivery. The initiative represents a major digital transformation effort by the Authority, aiming to provide comprehensive and smart services that meet the needs of People of Determination and their families.

This technological advancement accelerates processes, reduces waiting times, minimises human intervention, and ensures fairness in issuing approvals. It empowers People of Determination with fast, smart, and independent services while maintaining their privacy and dignity. The project also supports institutional integration efforts with the Ministry of Community Development to issue cards for UAE nationals and residents in Abu Dhabi who have applied through the Ministry.

This collaboration eliminates the need for re-evaluation, streamlining procedures for easier service access. It paves the way for a single unified card by early 2026. Abdullah Abdulali Al Humaidan, Director-General of Zayed Authority for People of Determination, expressed pride in launching this project. He stated it aligns with global trends in leveraging technological progress to enhance services for beneficiaries.

Al Humaidan remarked, "This project is not only a technological achievement but also a human-centred step aimed at providing faster, more accurate, and more inclusive services for People of Determination and their families.
