Intense Battles Unfold At IMMAF Youth World Championships In Abu Dhabi
The IMMAF Youth World Championships continued with fervour at Mubadala Arena, where young athletes displayed their prowess in mixed martial arts. The arena was alive with excitement as an enthusiastic crowd from various countries cheered on the competitors.
Friday's events focused on the Youth A category for athletes aged 16-17. These young fighters pushed their boundaries in pursuit of victory. The competition in this division will conclude tomorrow, marking the final day of this thrilling fifth edition of the championships.

The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) organises these championships, hosted by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation. Abdullah Al Zaabi, Head of Events and Activities at the UAE Federation, highlighted the role of UAE’s leadership in making these championships successful.
"We’ve hosted this championship for three years in a row and have extended the hosting agreement for another three years. This is part of our efforts to establish Abu Dhabi as a premier destination for major international sports events. We aim to promote mixed martial arts by organising local, regional, and international championships. These events help us discover and nurture young talents, allowing them to perform at their best and enhancing the sport’s global presence."
Al Zaabi also emphasised their commitment to building a strong national team capable of competing globally. He mentioned that they have developed advanced training programmes and organised intensive training camps both locally and internationally.
