Yas Waterworld Yas Island Expansion Launches On July 1 With Over 20 New Attractions

Miral, a prominent developer of immersive destinations in Abu Dhabi, has unveiled the latest expansion of Yas Waterworld on Yas Island. This new phase, which opened to the public on July 1, covers an area of 13,445 square metres. It introduces a "Lost City" theme and adds over 20 new rides and experiences, enhancing the park's offerings for visitors of all ages.

The expansion continues the park's original narrative, 'The Legend of the Lost Pearl', and brings the total number of attractions to over 60. Among these new additions are thrilling rides like Al Mafras, a twisting water slide for children with smooth turns and splash landings. The Red Dunes slide offers a closed aqua tube experience designed for maximum excitement.

Visitors can also enjoy Al Falaj Race, the region’s first side-by-side dueling tube raft race featuring high-speed drops and sharp twists. Al Sahel Junior introduces the region’s first mini zero-gravity boomerango with exciting drops and vertical zooms. Young adventurers can try Dawwama Junior, a smaller version of the iconic tornado slide.

The expanded waterpark also features Mataha Madness with its perplexing twists or Sadaf Swirl's swirling excitement. For adrenaline seekers, Bahamut’s Rage offers thrilling drops on a log flume ride. Bandit’s Playground provides interactive fun in a dynamic splash zone within Bandit’s Village.

This expansion aligns with Miral's goal to enhance tourism growth and economic diversification in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Al Zaabi added that these developments further position Yas Island as a top global destination for entertainment and leisure.

The new attractions promise endless fun for families and thrill-seekers alike, solidifying Yas Waterworld's reputation as a premier aquatic adventure destination.
