Bayanat AI PLC (Bayanat) and Al Yah Satellite Communications Company PJSC (Yahsat) have declared their upcoming merger, set to finalize on October 1, 2024. This strategic move aims to blend Yahsat's satellite communications expertise with Bayanat's geospatial AI capabilities, marking a significant step towards creating a leader in AI-powered space technology.
With the completion of the merger, the newly formed entity will operate under the name SPACE42 and will commence trading on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) with a new trading symbol 'SPACE42' starting from 1st October. As stated, "The merger will create SPACE42, a global AI-powered space technology champion based in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region with global reach." This vision sets the tone for the future operations and strategic direction of SPACE42, emphasizing its potential to lead in the space and technology sectors.
