Xpro Dielectric Films Launches Construction Of Its First Global Manufacturing Facility In Ras Al Khaimah
Xpro Dielectric Films, a subsidiary of Xpro India Limited and part of the Birla conglomerate, has initiated construction on its advanced dielectric films manufacturing facility. This new plant is located in the Al Ghail Free Zone within the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ). The project represents an initial investment exceeding AED 100 million and marks Xpro India Limited’s first global manufacturing unit as part of its expansion strategy.
The facility is expected to commence operations in 2025, with an annual production capacity of 4,500 tonnes of high-quality dielectric films. These products will serve markets in the USA, Europe, and the Far East. This venture highlights Xpro's commitment to contributing to economic development in Ras Al Khaimah and plans for future expansions.

Ras Al Khaimah's strategic position as a hub for global manufacturing innovations is reinforced by this project. RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad stated, "We, at RAKEZ, congratulate Xpro Dielectric Films on this significant milestone. The initiation of this facility reflects Ras Al Khaimah’s strategic position as a preferred hub for global manufacturing innovations." He emphasized RAKEZ's commitment to supporting the company throughout its development journey.
Xpro India Limited Chairman Sidharth Birla expressed enthusiasm about the project. He said, "We are proud to be part of the growing industrial development in Ras Al Khaimah under the dynamic vision of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi." He also highlighted the supportive business environment provided by RAKEZ and local authorities.
The new facility is expected to create around 80 jobs, further boosting economic growth in Ras Al Khaimah. This initiative not only enhances Ras Al Khaimah’s reputation as a prime location for global manufacturers but also showcases RAKEZ's active role in supporting industrial growth and innovation.
RAKEZ hosts nearly 6,000 Indian-origin companies, including major players like Motherson Sumi, Dabur, and Ashok Leyland. These companies leverage the emirate's strategic position to access expanding Middle Eastern markets. The presence of such businesses underscores the region's appeal as a business hub.
Sidharth Birla also noted the comprehensive assistance received from various stakeholders during the setup process. "We received comprehensive assistance from the RAKEZ team, local authorities, global equipment suppliers, and local engineering and construction partners," he said.
This new venture by Xpro Dielectric Films signifies a long-term commitment to fostering economic ties between India and the UAE. It aims to establish an iconic presence in the global dielectric films industry while leveraging Ras Al Khaimah’s strategic advantages for sustained growth.
