World Shooting Para Sport World Cup 2025 To Begin On October 25 In Al Ain With Global Participation

The 2025 World Shooting Para Sport World Cup is set to take place at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club from 25th October to 5th November 2025. This event is organised by the Zayed Authority for People of Determination in collaboration with the International Paralympic Committee and the World Shooting Para Sport Federation. It is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Abdullah Abdulali Al Humaidan, Director-General of Zayed Authority for People of Determination, highlighted that hosting this event repeatedly showcases the UAE's organisational prowess and top-tier infrastructure. He noted that it also reflects trust from international bodies in the UAE's ability to provide an inclusive sporting environment.

World Shooting Para Sport World Cup Starts Soon

The championship will welcome participants from 37 countries, totalling around 370 individuals, including athletes, delegation leaders, and international referees. Among them, 213 male and female athletes will compete in 43 events across various categories such as men's, women's, and visually impaired shooting. The competitions will feature air pistol, air and small-bore rifle, shotgun, and visually impaired shooting events.

Aref Hamad Al Awani, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, stated that this championship aligns with the UAE leadership’s vision to enhance its global sports presence. He emphasised that it empowers People of Determination by offering them platforms to achieve international success.

This marks the eighth occasion that the UAE has hosted this prestigious championship in Al Ain. Abdullah Ismail Al Kamali, Executive Director of the People of Determination Sector at Zayed Authority and Chairman of the Championship’s Supreme Organising Committee, expressed gratitude towards the UAE’s leadership for their unwavering support for People of Determination.

Al Kamali added that due to consistent organisational success, this championship has become a significant fixture on the international para-sport calendar. He acknowledged that such events are crucial for showcasing talent and fostering inclusivity in sports.

The event underscores the UAE's commitment to promoting sports among People of Determination while enhancing its reputation as a global hub for inclusive sporting events. The continued hosting of such championships highlights the country's dedication to providing world-class facilities and opportunities for athletes worldwide.
