World Future Energy Summit 2026 To Unite Leaders For Climate Policy And Clean Energy Solutions

The World Future Energy Summit, hosted by Masdar, is set to return from 13th to 15th January 2026 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. This edition promises to be the largest and most ambitious yet, bringing together sustainability leaders from various sectors. The event aims to convert commitments into actionable solutions amid accelerating clean energy investments in the region.

With significant investments in renewables, the UAE has pledged US$54 billion by 2030 and mobilised US$83 billion in climate-related clean tech at COP28. Additionally, Saudi Arabia has committed US$270 billion for renewable energy expansion and nearly US$200 billion under the Saudi Green Initiative. These efforts highlight the region's dedication to advancing clean energy.

Summit 2026: Uniting for Clean Energy Action

The 2026 Summit will feature exhibitions, conferences, and innovation hubs designed to foster partnerships and scale finance for clean energy projects. Policymakers, investors, and industry leaders will gather to accelerate technology deployment. Dr Lamya Fawwaz of Masdar emphasised that the Summit remains a key venue for global energy stakeholders to collaborate on real-world solutions.

A new addition to this year's programme is FUSE AI, an exploration area dedicated to artificial intelligence solutions for energy systems. This two-day conference will showcase AI-driven advancements in grid stability and climate modelling. More than 40 companies will participate, reflecting the growing AI investments across Middle East nations.

The Greenhouse platform will expand its reach by hosting over 50 startups focused on clean energy, mobility, water, and climate tech. This initiative builds on The Climate Innovations Exchange's legacy of supporting innovative startups. A collaboration with Greenpeace Middle East and North Africa introduces Greenpeace Cinema, using storytelling to highlight environmental challenges.

The Summit will also host Carbon Forward, aiding public and private sector stakeholders in navigating climate risks. High-level engagements like the EU Hydrogen Council Summit aim to align global hydrogen strategies with investment flows. Country pavilions will display national clean energy priorities and technologies.

Comprehensive Conference Programme

The conference programme spans seven tracks including a new Artificial Intelligence Conference focusing on responsible AI adoption across various sectors. Other forums cover Solar and Clean Energy, Circular Economy, eMobility and Sustainable Cities, Pathways to 1.5°C, The Water Conference, and Green Finance.

Edward Hobart, British Ambassador to the UAE, remarked that the Summit showcases how innovation and international collaboration can unlock clean energy opportunities. He added that the UK is committed to deepening partnerships supporting sustainable growth and green jobs.

Shyam Parmar, Event Director, noted that this year's Summit offers more interactive platforms focusing on AI-driven energy solutions. It creates a space where data meets innovation for sustainable progress.
