WETEX 2025 Reinforces UAE's Leadership In Sustainable Urban Development Initiatives

The Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) will once again feature a dedicated section for real estate developers focused on sustainable cities. This marks the third consecutive year of this initiative. The 27th edition of WETEX will showcase leading national and international companies that set global standards in green construction and buildings. These projects aim to improve residents' well-being within healthy, sustainable communities.

Organised by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the 27th WETEX will take place from 30th September to 2nd October 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. As one of the world's foremost exhibitions, it covers sectors like energy, water, clean technologies, sustainable cities, decarbonisation, green hydrogen, digital transformation, cyber security, and artificial intelligence.

WETEX 2025 Highlights UAE's Sustainable Development Efforts

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, stated: "WETEX supports Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the UAE’s regional and global pioneering position in adopting the concept of sustainable cities. Considering that by 2030, according to the UN, about 60 per cent of people will live in urban areas, the exhibition supports regional efforts to embrace these trends by promoting ambitious investments in smart and sustainable urban development."

Al Tayer further expressed enthusiasm about WETEX attracting both local and international partners eager to invest in future cities. He highlighted how this collaboration advances sustainable real estate globally. "This dynamic collaboration fosters the advancement of sustainable real estate and green buildings – not only in Dubai but globally," he noted.

WETEX 2025 will feature prominent sponsors such as OMNIYAT Group as premier sponsor, with Binghatti and DAMAC Properties as titanium sponsors alongside Ellington Properties. These companies will present innovative solutions aimed at enhancing sustainability in real estate while accelerating smart city development.

Mahdi Amjad from OMNIYAT Group shared his excitement: "We are honoured to be the premier sponsor of WETEX this year... Sustainability is embedded in our ethos... Our journey is driven by the belief that creating world-class spaces must go hand-in-hand with advancing sustainability principles."
