Watani Al Emarat Foundation Partners With Social Media Pioneers Association To Enhance Community Engagement

Watani Al Emarat Foundation has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Social Media Pioneers Association (SMPA). This collaboration aims to enhance cooperation between the two entities, aligning with their mutual objective of advancing social media's role in serving the UAE community. The SMPA is recognised as the first incubator for business activities and projects involving social media influencers and activists.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony held at the Foundation’s headquarters. Dherar Belhoul Al Falasi, Executive Director of Watani Al Emarat Foundation, and Abdulla Alshehhi, Media Advisor and President of SMPA, were present. Managers and representatives from both organisations also attended. The MoU sets a framework for communication and improved cooperation to develop programmes, projects, and services while sharing knowledge and best practices.

This partnership will see both parties working together on community and national initiatives. These initiatives aim to address social issues and promote human values using social media platforms. Additionally, they will offer awareness programmes and educational initiatives to share knowledge on effectively using social media.

Al Falasi stated: "This partnership comes in line with our vision to leverage digital media tools to promote the values of tolerance, coexistence and acceptance. It reflects our understanding of social media and its potential to address modern challenges, either through the promotion of community awareness or the consolidation of good citizenship values. We aim to reaffirm our commitment to harness social media platforms, disseminate positive values and establish optimal communication channels, along with fostering understanding in society. Furthermore, we aim to empower individuals and young people by providing them with valuable information required to serve the UAE community."

Abdulla Alshehhi emphasised that the Foundation supports leadership goals aimed at fostering national affiliation. He noted that spreading awareness and community culture is crucial for safeguarding national identity and instilling citizenship values across society's various segments.

He remarked: "Through this agreement, we aim to encourage active participation and utilise SMPA’s resources, including its expertise, vision, and skilled Emirati professionals. We are committed to fulfilling our national responsibilities by supporting the Foundation’s mission to promote family values, strengthen community cohesion, and foster tolerance, coexistence, and open communication."

The signing of this agreement underscores Watani Al Emarat Foundation's dedication to promoting national affiliation values. The foundation is committed to reinforcing principles of tolerance within the local community while exploring new trends that will contribute to sustainable development in the UAE.
