Victory Team Secures UIM XCAT Championship Lead With Dubai Grand Prix Win
Team Victory clinched the World Champion title in the UIM XCAT Powerboat Championship for 2025. They secured first place on Sunday during the second main race of the Dubai Grand Prix, with Salem Al-Adidi and Issa Al Ali steering Victory 7 to victory. This win followed their earlier triumph in the opening race, solidifying their dominance.
The team amassed 70 points from both races, each contributing 35 points. This brought their total to 200 points, placing them at the top of the season standings. Team Fujairah followed with 132 points, while Team Great Britain secured third place with 126 points.

Al-Adidi and Al Ali completed the second race in 40:00.74 minutes. They finished 12.66 seconds ahead of Team Sharjah, which came second, and a minute and one second ahead of Team Fujairah, which took third place.
The event was graced by Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum from the Ministry of Sports and Khalfan Belhoul from the Dubai Sports Council. The winners were crowned by Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council; Saif Juma Al Suwaidi from the Dubai International Marine Sports Club; and John Mary Van Larken from the International Powerboating Federation.
Saif Juma Al Suwaidi praised Team Victory for their dedication throughout the season. He highlighted that their consistent performance from Fujairah to Kuwait and Dubai was key to their success. He also commended the organising committees for ensuring high standards at Nessnass Beach in Jumeirah.
The event attracted fans from various nationalities who enjoyed thrilling races featuring teams from Great Britain, Sweden, Norway, Kuwait, Italy, and UAE teams. The organisers ensured a seamless experience for all attendees.
This achievement underscores Team Victory's commitment to excellence in powerboat racing. Their hard work and strategic prowess have set a benchmark for future competitions.
