Uterra Launches Operations At Ras Al Khaimah’s First Organic Fertiliser Facility To Boost Sustainable Agriculture

Uterra Middle East Agro Industries has inaugurated a new facility in Ras Al Khaimah's Al Ghail Industrial Zone. This marks the launch of the region's first plant dedicated to sustainable agricultural products, following a US$20 million investment. The event was attended by Uterra Founder Dr. Anatoli Unitsky and RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad, highlighting the facility's advanced capabilities in producing high-efficiency organic fertilisers.

The 33,000 m2 facility employs advanced organic production processes and cutting-edge technology for both indoor and outdoor farming. It includes vertical farming techniques to boost fruit, vegetable, and berry production, ensuring fresh produce is available year-round. The site also focuses on manufacturing high-quality fertilisers free from harmful chemicals and GMOs while developing unique cultivation methods for plants and medicinal fungi.

Dr. Unitsky emphasised the impact of restoring degraded soil with uTerra products. "By restoring the earth’s degraded soil – exhausted from chemical fertilisers – we are making a profound impact. The uTerra product demonstrates to agricultural enterprises that it is possible to cultivate eco-friendly products that are not harmful to health. And we have such examples," he stated.

The production of uTerra organic fertiliser began in Belarus in 2023, with an annual output exceeding 1,000 tons. The uTerra fertility elixir can increase yields by 30-120 percent on average, accelerate crop growth, enhance taste and aroma, and enrich soil with beneficial microorganisms. It also protects plants from diseases and pests while normalising soil acidity.

RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad praised uTerra’s contributions: "We are truly inspired by what uTerra has brought to life—not just for the region, but for the world. The facility introduces an exceptional model in the fields of sustainability and bio-agriculture." He noted that uTerra strengthens Ras Al Khaimah’s position as a hub for sustainable innovation.

uTerra's efforts align with advancing the UAE’s agricultural ecosystem and national sustainability agenda. As part of Ras Al Khaimah’s community of future-focused businesses, uTerra plays a crucial role in promoting meaningful progress through purposeful innovation.

The new plant aims to produce more uTerra organic fertiliser, enabling people to grow healthier food. This initiative supports RAKEZ and Ras Al Khaimah Government's commitment to backing companies focused on sustainable growth from their platform.
