UAEV And AW Rostamani Group Sign Agreement To Improve Charging Access For Zeekr Electric Vehicle Drivers
Emarat EV Charging Stations Company (UAEV) has entered into a strategic partnership with AW Rostamani Group (AWR Group). This collaboration aims to enhance the electric vehicle charging experience across the UAE. The agreement was signed during the Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit (EVIS 2025), aligning with the UAE's commitment to sustainable transport solutions.
The partnership supports the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy and National Electric Vehicles Policy. It aims to improve accessibility for electric vehicle drivers and promote climate-smart transport solutions. By 2030, this initiative is expected to reduce over 100,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, contributing significantly to the nation's low-emission goals.

AWR Group, known for distributing Zeekr and smart vehicles in the UAE, will offer charging credits to customers purchasing these electric vehicles. These credits can be activated via the UAEV app and used at any UAEV station nationwide. This provides convenient access to one of the fastest-growing EV charging networks in the country.
Hicham Ezzahid, CEO of UAEV, remarked on the significance of this partnership: "This partnership marks a significant milestone in our mission to make electric vehicle adoption easier, more rewarding, and truly accessible for everyone in the UAE. Strategic collaborations like this enhance the ownership experience and accelerate the nation’s transition to clean mobility. When infrastructure and innovation move in lockstep, adoption becomes a natural outcome."
Sanaa Ouahmane from AWR Group highlighted their dedication: "This is more than a business collaboration—it’s a strategic alliance that puts customer education, accessibility, and sustainability at the forefront. We are not just supporting electric vehicle adoption—we’re enabling a new standard for how people move." She also emphasised their commitment to supporting the UAE's vision for a net-zero future through robust charging infrastructure.
Currently operating 122 charging ports—including ultra-fast chargers—UAEV plans to expand this number to 300 by 2025. As it operates the largest EV network in Northern Emirates, UAEV continues its expansion across the country. Its strategically located high-speed DC charging stations aim to alleviate range anxiety among drivers.
Addressing Charging Concerns
The collaboration between AWR Group and UAEV addresses long-standing concerns about charging limitations that hinder EV adoption. By providing reliable and accessible charging solutions, they aim to simplify ownership and improve overall driving experiences for electric vehicle users.
This initiative aligns with UAEV's broader goal of establishing a dependable nationwide network that supports every aspect of EV ownership—from purchase through daily use. The partnership bridges gaps between vehicles and infrastructure, enhancing convenience for drivers.
The charging credit programme will launch soon, encouraging Zeekr and smart drivers to download the UAEV app. This will enable them to activate their credits and access the national charging network seamlessly.
