UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Declares 2025 As Year Of Community Under 'Hand In Hand' Slogan
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has announced that 2025 will be recognised as the Year of Community. This initiative, under the slogan 'Hand in Hand', aims to reflect the leadership's vision for a united and empowered society. The focus is on strengthening family and community ties by preserving cultural heritage and fostering intergenerational connections.
The Year of Community encourages everyone residing in the UAE to actively engage in societal contributions. This includes community service, volunteering, and impactful initiatives that promote shared responsibility. The goal is to drive collective progress through these efforts, creating a culture where everyone feels involved.

This initiative also seeks to unlock potential within individuals, families, and organisations by developing skills and nurturing talents. It aims to foster innovation in areas like entrepreneurship and emerging industries such as artificial intelligence. These efforts align with other national priorities of the UAE, promoting inclusive growth and lasting positive impacts.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, along with Her Highness Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairperson of the Presidential Court for National Projects, will oversee this initiative. They will ensure numerous events and initiatives are launched throughout the year to strengthen community cohesion.
The initiative invites all community members—both citizens and residents—to contribute ideas that enhance social bonds. This participation aims to foster community progress while celebrating the cultural diversity that defines the UAE. Such involvement supports building a strong and flourishing nation.
Throughout 2025, various activities will uphold Emirati values and ensure an environment where everyone can contribute to progress. These efforts are designed to create inclusive spaces that encourage collaboration, belonging, and shared experiences among all who call the UAE home.
