UAE Unveils Logo And Theme For The Upcoming 28th Universal Postal Congress In Dubai

The UAE has unveiled the logo and theme for the 28th Universal Postal Congress, set to take place in Dubai from 8th to 19th September 2025. This event, organised by Emirates Post Group Company, will focus on "Leading the Change, Creating the Future." The Universal Postal Union (UPU), a UN agency for postal services, convenes every four years to establish new strategies and rules for international mail.

The theme underscores the UPU's crucial role in shaping the future of global postal services. It highlights the sector's legacy in connecting people worldwide while emphasising innovation, digitisation, and sustainability. The logo features a falcon symbolising trust and foresight, alongside a stylised gateway representing openness to future developments.

The strategic goals of the Congress align with 'We the UAE 2031', an initiative aimed at enhancing the UAE's status as a global hub for digital economy and smart services. This initiative also seeks to strengthen the UAE's presence in international organisations and events. The Congress aims to empower decision-makers to transform the postal sector through collaboration, technology adoption, and sustainable business models.

Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Congress, stated that hosting this event reflects international trust in the UAE's leadership in connecting communities and economies. He emphasised that this platform will enable key players to drive positive changes in global postal logistics.

An official reception was held in Bern, Switzerland, where Dr. Hissa Abdulla Ahmed Al-Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to Switzerland, Masahiko Metoki, UPU Director-General, and other dignitaries were present. The event served as a platform for discussing insights and preparations for the Congress. It also showcased organisational plans aimed at delivering an experience that meets international standards.

The reception was organised by the Congress's Organising Committee in collaboration with UPU. It brought together UPU member countries and relevant entities to discuss future insights and ongoing preparations.
