UAE University Prepares For Historic ALainSat-1 Satellite Launch In October
Zaki Nusseibeh, Cultural Adviser to the UAE President and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), has signed the transport fund for the satellite "ALainSat-1." This event marks a crucial step toward the satellite's launch, scheduled for next October. The project is part of a national initiative to advance the UAE's space science and technology capabilities.
Nusseibeh highlighted that the launch of "ALainSat-1" underscores UAEU's dedication to supporting national strategies for developing the space sector. He stated, "The launch of 'ALainSat-1' reflects the United Arab Emirates University's commitment to supporting national strategies for the development of the space sector. It also demonstrates the university's dedicated efforts to enhance scientific and technological collaboration with international academic and research institutions."

The "ALainSat-1" project is a collaborative effort between UAEU and international partners. This partnership aims to use advanced technology to study Earth's environment, providing precise data that helps understand environmental challenges and find innovative solutions. Nusseibeh noted that this project serves as a starting point for further achievements in space exploration.
Nusseibeh emphasised that this initiative plays a key role in developing Emirati youth skills, encouraging them to innovate.
