UAE Team Emirates Announces Tadej Pogačar's Contract Extension Through 2030

UAE Team Emirates has announced that Tadej Pogačar, the World Champion cyclist, will remain with the team until 2030. Pogačar joined the team in 2019 and has since achieved remarkable success. He has won 88 races across various formats, showcasing his exceptional talent and commitment to cycling.

Pogačar's achievements in 2024 were extraordinary. He won both the Tour de France and Giro D’Italia, along with one-day races like Strade Bianche, Liege-Baston-Liege, and Il Lombardia. His performance at the World Championships in Zurich was also outstanding, earning him the UCI World Champion title.

Tadej Pogačar Extends Contract with UAE Team Emirates

The Slovenian cyclist's triple crown of victories in the Giro D’Italia, Tour de France, and World Championships is a feat not seen since Stephen Roche in 1987. Pogačar set a new record with 25 wins in just 58 days of racing, an unprecedented achievement in professional cycling.

Pogačar expressed his enthusiasm about extending his contract with UAE Team Emirates. "I am extremely proud to be extending my time here at UAE Team Emirates," he said. "This team has been my home now the last five years and I truly can’t imagine myself anywhere else."

Mauro Gianetti, CEO of UAE Team Emirates, praised Pogačar's dedication and talent. "It’s an incredible feeling to be able to announce this contract extension for Tadej Pogacar," Gianetti stated.
