UAE Team ADQ Reveals Lineup And Empowering Jersey For Tour De France Femmes

UAE Team ADQ has announced its lineup for the Tour de France Femmes, set to occur from August 12 to August 18. The team will compete with a strong roster, including Sofia Bertizzolo, Mikayla Harvey, Lizzie Holden, Karolina Kumiega, Erica Magnaldi, Silvia Persico, and Karlijn Swinkels.

At this year's Tour de France Femmes, UAE Team ADQ will debut a Special Edition Jersey. The jersey's theme is "Connecting Dots of Opportunity," reflecting the team's core values and global performance spirit. The design includes symbolic elements that highlight female empowerment, diversity, and leadership within women's cycling.

The jersey features an "Eye" symbol representing each rider's unique vision. Lines on the jersey signify continuous growth and unity. Colours drawn from the flags of the riders' home countries celebrate the team's diversity and inclusivity.

The 2024 Tour de France Femmes will span seven days across eight stages, covering a total of 946 kilometres (588 miles). The first three stages will take place in the Netherlands, with two stages scheduled for August 13: a shorter stage followed by an individual time trial. The race will then move south into Belgium before heading into France.

Upon entering France, the race continues southward and concludes with two final stages in the Alps. This includes a dramatic summit finish at Alpe d'Huez, which stands at an elevation of 1,850 meters.

In another achievement for UAE Team ADQ, rider Chiara Consonni along with her Italian teammate Vittoria Guazzini won women’s Madison in track cycling at the Paris Olympics. This victory secured Consonni's first gold Olympic medal.
