UAE's Visionary Leadership Shapes Future Of Sustainable Supply Chains At IPSC 2025
The UAE has emerged as a global leader in sustainable supply chain systems, thanks to its visionary leadership and advanced infrastructure. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, highlighted this at the International Procurement and Supply Chain Conference (IPSC) in Dubai. He compared supply chains to electricity, essential yet often unnoticed until disrupted.
Sheikh Nahyan emphasised the importance of resilient, secure, and innovative supply chains that can adapt to rapid global changes. Recent crises like the COVID-19 pandemic have underscored the need for collaboration between governments and institutions to ensure efficient supply chains. This is crucial for community well-being and environmental preservation.
The UAE has invested significantly in ports, airports, free zones, and manufacturing capabilities. By embracing modern technologies and adopting transparent policies, the country positions itself as a leader in sustainable supply chains. These achievements are attributed to the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Nahyan stated that the UAE aims not only to fulfill national interests but also to serve as a global model for other countries. "We welcome international collaboration, and we view supply chains as a fundamental pillar of national security, economic strategy, and innovation," he said.
The IPSC conference was hosted by Blue Ocean Corporation under the theme "Redefining Global Trade: The UAE Shaping Sustainable Supply Chains for the Future." It gathered over 500 global leaders and experts to discuss the UAE’s role in driving sustainable trade innovation. The event highlighted practical applications like AI-powered logistics and green procurement practices.
Dr. Sathya Menon, Group CEO of Blue Ocean, remarked on the conference's impact: "The IPSC has once again proven to be a dynamic platform for change. We’ve brought together global expertise to demonstrate that the UAE is not merely adapting to sustainable trade demands—it is leading the way toward a more resilient and sustainable future."
Global Stature of IPSC
The conference was attended by international dignitaries such as Sourav Ganguly and Amruta Fadnavis, showcasing its global significance. Their presence reinforced the UAE’s position as a premier hub for international cooperation and cultural exchange.
The IPSC 2025 set a new benchmark for international collaboration in trade innovation. As part of its ongoing efforts, Blue Ocean Corporation announced that the next edition will take place in New Delhi.
Sheikh Nahyan concluded his speech with optimism about the conference outcomes: "Your participation in this event is a source of hope and optimism. Collaboration in supply chains is essential to global economic growth and regional and international integration."
