Two planes recently delivered 80 tonnes of aid to Lebanon, marking the second shipment from H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, known as the Mother of the Nation. This initiative is part of the "UAE stands with Lebanon" campaign. The supplies are intended to support Lebanese women affected by ongoing conflicts.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan oversees these initiatives, with H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan supervising development and philanthropic activities. These efforts reflect the UAE's commitment to aiding nations in crisis.

In total, 160 tonnes of supplies have been sent through four relief flights under the "Mother of Nation" contributions. These shipments aim to alleviate the hardships faced by Lebanese women due to ongoing conflicts. The UAE's dedication to providing timely aid is evident in these actions.
Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Organisations, highlighted Her Highness's dedication to empowering women during crises. He stated: "The second batch of contributions from Her Highness, the Mother of the Nation, included basic supplies and essentials needed for the mothers in Lebanon."
Al Shamsi emphasised that Emirati charity organisations will continue collaborating with international partners. Their goal is to deliver essential food, medical care, and shelter swiftly to those affected in Lebanon. This partnership aims at fostering early recovery and ensuring stability.
Legacy of Humanitarian Aid
The UAE's humanitarian initiatives are deeply rooted in the legacy of its founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The nation remains committed to supporting people affected by conflicts and disasters worldwide. This enduring legacy continues through current leadership efforts.
The initial shipment from Her Highness arrived in late October via two relief planes carrying 80 tonnes of supplies. These contributions were specifically aimed at supporting Lebanese women during challenging times, demonstrating a sustained commitment to humanitarian aid.
