UAE Stands With Lebanon: Donation Drive At Expo Centre Sharjah On October 19, 2024

A donation drive will be held at Expo Centre Sharjah on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 9 am to 1 pm. This event is part of the 'UAE stands with Lebanon' campaign, which began on October 8 and will run until October 21. The initiative is guided by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and supported by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Big Heart Foundation and Sharjah Charity Association are organising the event in collaboration with various charitable organisations, businesses, and social clubs in Sharjah. Volunteers from diverse community segments will also participate. The campaign aims to embody the values of human solidarity that are deeply rooted in Emirati society.

Mariam Al Hammadi, Director of The Big Heart Foundation, highlighted that the campaign's goals align with the principles of fraternity upheld by the UAE's leadership and citizens. She emphasised that these values are central to the foundation's humanitarian work, contributing to stability and security in disaster-stricken communities.

Abdullah bin Khadem, Executive Director of the Sharjah Charity Association, noted that the UAE has a long history of providing aid to those in crisis worldwide. He stated that 'The UAE stands with Lebanon' campaign is part of this ongoing commitment to support societies facing hardships.

The campaign underscores the UAE's dedication to global humanitarian efforts. It reflects a historical pattern of mobilising resources to assist people in distress across different regions.
