During his visit, Sheikh Mansoor was joined by Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation. They were informed about the efforts of over 4,000 volunteers who gathered at Expo City Dubai to prepare more than 10,000 emergency relief kits. The campaign began last Tuesday and will continue until Monday, 21st October.

The primary goal is to send urgent relief packages to Lebanon to address pressing humanitarian needs during this challenging period. Sheikh Mansoor highlighted that this campaign exemplifies the UAE’s values of solidarity and compassion. He stressed that the leadership prioritises assisting nations in distress to ensure aid reaches those most in need globally.

Sheikh Mansoor further noted that this initiative reflects the UAE’s strong ties with Lebanon and its commitment to supporting Lebanese people during difficult times. The campaign is managed by Dubai Cares with volunteers from various nationalities working alongside donors and business leaders in Dubai.

Apart from Expo City Dubai, additional collection drives will occur at other locations. Tomorrow (Sunday), efforts will take place at Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal (Building 1), followed by another event on Saturday, 19th October, at Expo Centre Sharjah.

This initiative underscores the UAE's dedication to humanitarian causes worldwide. By mobilising resources and volunteers effectively, it aims to provide substantial support to Lebanon during its crisis.
