UAE Stands With Lebanon: ERC To Collect Relief Aid At Abu Dhabi Port On October 13, 2024

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) will manage the collection of relief aid at Abu Dhabi Ports' Cruise Terminal (Terminal 1) on Sunday, 13th October 2024. This event, scheduled from 09:00 to 13:00 GST, is organised in collaboration with Abu Dhabi’s donor agencies and institutions. It aligns with directives from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and is overseen by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Dr. Hamdan Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the ERC Board of Directors, highlighted the UAE's ongoing humanitarian efforts. He stated that these initiatives continue the legacy of the UAE's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. This legacy is further strengthened by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.

The ERC remains committed to its mission under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the ERC. Dr. Al Mazrouei emphasised that their work supports communities and individuals globally who are in need.

Under the leadership of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed, the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council plays a significant role in global humanitarian efforts. Dr. Al Mazrouei noted that this council leads initiatives like 'UAE Stands with Lebanon', which aims to support Lebanese people during their crisis.

The 'UAE Stands with Lebanon' campaign is a national initiative driven by community solidarity with Lebanon amid its crisis. Dr. Al Mazrouei reiterated ERC's dedication to providing urgent relief aid, including essential food, medical supplies, and shelter for those affected during these challenging times.
