UAE And Slovenia Presidents Discuss Enhancing Bilateral Cooperation Across Multiple Sectors
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently welcomed President Dr. Nataša Pirc Musar of Slovenia during her visit to the UAE. The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, where His Highness expressed his pleasure in meeting the Slovenian President and hoped for strengthened cooperation between the two nations.
The discussions between the leaders focused on enhancing economic, trade, investment, and development ties. They also explored opportunities in renewable energy and sustainability, aligning with both countries' aspirations for progress. These talks aimed to foster mutual prosperity through shared initiatives.
The leaders addressed regional and international issues of mutual concern. They affirmed their commitment to ending hostilities in the Middle East and avoiding conflict escalation. Both supported a two-state solution as a foundation for peace, emphasizing global peace and stability through peaceful conflict resolution.
His Highness reiterated the UAE's consistent approach of fostering developmental partnerships that benefit all parties involved. He expressed optimism about further growth in cooperation between the UAE and Slovenia, highlighting the potential for future collaborations.
Diplomatic relations between the UAE and Slovenia began in 1992, shortly after Slovenia gained independence. This reflects both nations' commitment to collaboration for mutual benefit. His Highness highlighted the importance of the UAE-Slovenia Joint Economic Committee and Political Consultations Committee in identifying opportunities for cooperation across various fields.
President Pirc Musar expressed her eagerness to advance UAE-Slovenian relations to support both nations' interests. She appreciated the warm reception extended to her and her delegation during their visit to the UAE.
Delegation Attendance
The meeting was attended by several notable figures from both countries. Among them were H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; and Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation.
The Slovenian delegation accompanying President Pirc Musar included several senior officials who participated in discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.
