UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan And Slovakia PM Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico recently engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation. Their talks centred on expanding development opportunities, particularly in sectors like economy, trade, renewable energy, and culture. The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi during Fico's working visit to the UAE.

At the meeting's onset, Prime Minister Fico conveyed greetings from Slovak President Peter Pellegrini, wishing the UAE continued progress and prosperity. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties across various fields. They emphasised strategic and economic cooperation aligned with innovation and sustainability goals.

The leaders witnessed the exchange of a cooperation agreement in the economic sector between their governments. Additionally, a memorandum of understanding on investment was signed. Representing the UAE was Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, while Vladimír Šimoňák, State Secretary at Slovakia's Ministry of Economy, represented Slovakia.

During their discussions, both sides shared perspectives on regional and global developments of mutual interest. They stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomatic solutions for resolving crises worldwide. This aligns with their shared vision for sustainable development and prosperity for their peoples.

The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; along with several ministers and senior officials from both countries.

The Slovak delegation accompanying Prime Minister Fico included ministers and senior officials as well. This highlights the significance both nations place on fostering strong diplomatic relations through high-level engagements.

The discussions underscored a mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation in strategic sectors crucial for development priorities. Both nations aim to align efforts to serve mutual interests while supporting a shared vision for sustainable growth.
