UAE Recognised As A Role Model For Integrated Development Across Africa

The UAE is recognised for its influential role in Africa, acting as a model of integrated developmental cooperation. Nadia Yaich, Secretary-General of the Tunisia Africa Business Council, highlighted this during the "Africa Trade and Investment Forum" in Tunis. She noted the UAE's significant investments in strategic sectors like infrastructure and energy, alongside its support for education, healthcare, capacity building, and entrepreneurship, especially for youth and women.

Yaich emphasised the UAE's central role in supporting comprehensive development across African countries. This involves enhancing partnerships with local stakeholders and directing support toward community-based projects that foster innovation ecosystems and entrepreneurship. Such initiatives are crucial for sustainable growth across the continent.

UAE: A Model for Africa's Development

Tunis will host FITA 2025 on May 6 and 7. The event will feature ministerial delegations and representatives from several African nations, including the Congo, Nigeria, and Algeria. They will showcase investment opportunities available in their respective countries. This forum is expected to be the largest investment event in Africa this year.

The forum will include participation from international financial institutions and over 1,000 business meetings. A comprehensive exhibition will also be part of the event. These activities aim to facilitate discussions on investment opportunities and foster economic collaboration among participating nations.

Yaich stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between Tunisia and the UAE within Africa. She suggested that the Tunisia Africa Business Council could play a pivotal role by organising joint business missions. Creating platforms for knowledge exchange and encouraging joint investments in developmental projects were also highlighted as key strategies.

These efforts aim to build trust and open new avenues for tripartite cooperation between Tunisia, the UAE, and Africa. By fostering such collaborations, there is potential to enhance economic ties and promote sustainable development across the region.

The forum's focus on deepening these partnerships aligns with broader goals of promoting economic growth through strategic investments. By leveraging shared expertise and resources, these initiatives can contribute significantly to regional development efforts.
