UAE's Commitment To Sustainable Development Highlighted By Sheikh Nahyan At Global Sustainability Network Meeting
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, highlighted the UAE's dedication to sustainable development. Under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership, this commitment is evident in the focus on human resources, a diversified economy, and environmental protection. The UAE also prioritises stability, social cohesion, and cultural identity.
The Global Sustainability Network (GSN) meeting in Abu Dhabi brought together faith leaders, business figures, government bodies, academics, media representatives, and civil society. This gathering underscored the network's role in advancing sustainability both locally and globally. The UAE's dedication to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially Goal Eight, was a focal point.
In his speech at the event, Sheikh Nahyan thanked GSN founders Raza Jafar and Bishop Alastair Redfern for creating a platform that drives positive change. He noted that the meeting serves as a venue for sharing innovative ideas on inclusive economic growth. It aims to provide employment that ensures dignity and happiness for everyone involved.
