This visit comes at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait.

The visit follows two months after the 5th session of the Joint Higher Committee, where several agreements were signed. These include accords on tax avoidance, defence, infrastructure, cybersecurity, environment, and information technology. The aim is to boost collaboration by leveraging both countries' resources for shared benefits.

UAE President's Visit to Kuwait for Cooperation

Al Neyadi noted that President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's historic visit has generated significant enthusiasm among officials and the public. This excitement is evident in extensive media coverage and the decoration of streets and official buildings throughout Kuwait, highlighting the robust relationship between the nations.

In 2024, reciprocal visits will further solidify ties between the UAE and Kuwait. The Emir of Kuwait's planned visit to the UAE will be followed by high-level engagements in September and October. These include visits by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, focusing on strengthening connections across all sectors.

Dr. Al Neyadi emphasised that the relationship between the UAE and Kuwait exemplifies cooperation and solidarity. It is rooted in deep historical bonds and driven by leadership committed to mutual development. This partnership not only benefits both countries but also supports progress within the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The upcoming visit signifies a continuation of efforts to foster collaboration across various fields. Both nations are keen on capitalising on opportunities that arise from their strong bilateral ties, ensuring long-term benefits for their people.
