UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed And Saudi Crown Prince Discuss Regional Developments In Riyadh
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, met with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. Their discussions in Riyadh focused on the strong fraternal ties and strategic cooperation between their nations. They also addressed various regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The meeting highlighted recent developments in the Middle East, particularly the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. Both leaders stressed the importance of establishing a clear path towards a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution. This approach aims to serve the interests of all peoples and nations in the region.
Emphasising regional stability, security, and peace was a key point during their discussions. The leaders agreed that reinforcing these foundations is crucial for addressing humanitarian and security challenges effectively. Their dialogue underscored a commitment to fostering peace through diplomatic efforts.
In honour of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed's visit, Prince Mohammed bin Salman hosted a luncheon. The UAE delegation accompanying Sheikh Mohamed included H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi; Mohamed bin Hassan Al Suwaidi; Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei; and Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif Al Nahyan.
The Saudi delegation present at the meeting included H.R.H. Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy; H.R.H. Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; H.R.H. Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard; H.R.H. Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defence; H.H. Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban.
Upon concluding his visit to Riyadh, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed was bid farewell by Prince Mohammed at King Khalid International Airport. This gesture marked the end of a significant meeting aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and addressing pressing regional issues collaboratively.
