UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Welcomes Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa For Cooperation Discussions

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, welcomed His Excellency Ahmad Al-Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, during a working visit to Abu Dhabi. The meeting was held at Qasr Al Shati, where both leaders discussed strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation in development and economic sectors to benefit their nations.

The discussions also covered regional issues of shared interest. Both leaders highlighted the importance of reinforcing peace, security, and stability across the Middle East. They agreed that such efforts would contribute to the development and prosperity of all nations in the region.

The meeting was attended by several prominent figures from both nations. From the UAE side were H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi; Dr. Anwar Gargash; Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, among others.

The Syrian delegation included Asaad Al-Shaibani, Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, along with other senior officials. Their presence underscored the significance of this diplomatic engagement in advancing mutual interests.

Earlier in the day, President Al-Sharaa arrived at Abu Dhabi's Al Bateen Airport. He was warmly received by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other senior officials, marking a cordial start to his visit.

This meeting highlights a commitment to regional cooperation and mutual progress between the UAE and Syria. Both nations aim to work together towards shared goals that enhance stability and prosperity in their respective regions.
