UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Participates In Annual Meetings Focused On Emirati Family Growth
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan took part in the UAE Government Annual Meetings held in Abu Dhabi. This event annually gathers over 500 leaders and officials from various federal and local entities. His Highness attended a session focused on ‘Building Emirati Families,’ where discussions centred on supporting family growth in the UAE.
The session explored challenges and socioeconomic factors affecting families, with speakers highlighting state initiatives to encourage young people to start families. They emphasised the need for societal awareness about the value of cohesive Emirati families and the inclusion of long-term solutions within the national agenda.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed stressed that building Emirati families is a shared national responsibility requiring a comprehensive approach. He noted that this responsibility involves individuals, communities, and institutions, with sufficient resources available to achieve these goals. He urged all entities to support this approach through initiatives and policies that empower Emirati families.
He highlighted family growth as crucial for empowering UAE society to meet current and future national development needs. The session was attended by several prominent figures, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
Other notable attendees included H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence; H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; and H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs.
The gathering also saw participation from H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; along with ministers, senior officials, and experts from various sectors like social affairs, education, healthcare, human development, economy, infrastructure among others.
In his remarks during the session, His Highness reiterated that fostering conditions for family growth is essential for building a strong society. He directed institutions to implement programmes that positively contribute to family building in the UAE.
