UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed And Emir Of Kuwait Discuss Cooperation And Regional Stability
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, held discussions with His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait. The meeting focused on strengthening the longstanding ties between their countries. They explored ways to enhance cooperation in development and economic sectors to benefit both nations. This meeting took place at Bayan Palace during Sheikh Mohamed's visit to Kuwait.
The leaders also addressed regional and international matters, particularly focusing on recent Middle East developments. Both expressed support for initiatives aimed at achieving a ceasefire in Gaza. They emphasised that a just peace based on the two-state solution is crucial for lasting stability and fulfilling Palestinian aspirations.
Further discussions centred around joint Gulf cooperation progress. The leaders reaffirmed their dedication to bolstering efforts that strengthen the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Their aim is to serve the developmental and prosperity aspirations of GCC peoples.
Sheikh Meshal hosted a luncheon in honour of Sheikh Mohamed and his delegation after the meeting. Attendees included His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; among other dignitaries.
The leaders highlighted the importance of leveraging growing international recognition of Palestine to support peace and stability efforts. They stressed that this recognition is vital for advancing peace initiatives in the region.
The luncheon was also attended by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait; His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait; along with several Sheikhs, ministers, and senior officials from both countries.
At the end of his visit, Sheikh Mohamed departed Kuwait. He was bid farewell by Kuwait's Crown Prince and other dignitaries. This visit underscored the strong fraternal bonds between the UAE and Kuwait.
