UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Exchanges Medals With Italian President Sergio Mattarella During State Visit

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended a dinner banquet in Italy. The event was hosted by His Excellency Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic, to honour Sheikh Mohamed and his delegation during their state visit.

His Excellency President Sergio Mattarella warmly welcomed Sheikh Mohamed. He highlighted the strong relationship between the UAE and Italy, emphasising their mutual goal to enhance cooperation for the benefit of both nations' citizens.

During the banquet, both leaders exchanged prestigious medals. Sheikh Mohamed awarded President Mattarella the Order of Zayed, the highest civilian honour from the UAE for world leaders. In return, President Mattarella presented Sheikh Mohamed with the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, Italy's highest accolade for global leaders.

The exchange also included gifts symbolising each country's rich history and heritage. This gesture further cemented the cultural ties between the two nations.

Delegation Attendance

The banquet saw attendance from several key figures accompanying Sheikh Mohamed. Among them were H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President.

A number of Italian ministers, senior officials, and other invitees were also present at this significant event.
