UAE President Launches Zayed Education Foundation To Empower Future Global Leaders

The Zayed Education Foundation has been established under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This initiative aims to empower young leaders to address global challenges through education, research, and innovation. By 2035, the Foundation plans to support 100,000 talented individuals, equipping them to drive economic, social, and environmental progress worldwide.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlighted that the creation of the Zayed Education Foundation demonstrates the UAE’s strong commitment to advancing Sheikh Zayed’s vision for a more inclusive and prosperous world. He stated that addressing global challenges requires innovative and collaborative approaches.

The Foundation will establish a global network of young leaders, reinforcing the UAE’s dedication to sustainable development both regionally and globally. The flagship programme, Zayed Scholars, is central to this mission. It offers merit-based university scholarships and leadership training to nurture academic excellence and practical skills.

In addition to scholarships, the Foundation will invest in pioneering research and innovation within the UAE. Through grants and impact-driven funding, it ensures talented individuals have access to resources needed for developing tangible solutions to global issues.

Initially focusing on the UAE, the Foundation will gradually extend its initiatives to Arab nations and partner countries in the Global South. This expansion will occur through direct programming and strategic partnerships with educational institutions, governments, and communities.
