UAE's Active Role In BRICS Youth Summit In Brazil Emphasises Commitment To Youth Empowerment

The United Arab Emirates took part in the 'BRICS Youth Summit' in Brazil, joining delegations from member states and partner nations from the Global South. Khaled Al Nuaimi commented on the UAE's participation: "The UAE has always embraced the directives of its leadership, maintaining a steadfast commitment to empowering youth and supporting their active participation in global development. This reflects our firm belief that youth are the key drivers of change, empowered by developing skills, engaging in national and international policymaking, and strengthening their presence on influential platforms."

Al Nuaimi further noted that participating in the 'BRICS Youth Summit' offers a unique chance to boost cooperation among Global South youth. The aim is to raise political awareness and support leadership initiatives that encourage innovation and entrepreneurship among young people.

The summit covered several important topics such as integrating youth within the Global South, addressing political and organisational challenges, and promoting youth employment and joint development. Other discussions included education, science, technology, innovation as national development drivers, sovereignty, social justice, environmental preservation, peace, and nations' rights to shape a shared future.
