Georgia's capital, Tbilisi, is preparing to host the Global Investors Forum (GIF 2025), a significant economic event aimed at enhancing cooperation between GCC countries and Eurasia. This forum seeks to create a unified investment ecosystem that promotes growth, strengthens economic ties, and expands cross-border investment opportunities. The event is organised in partnership with EurAsia Gulf and ICC Georgia, with AGI Holding as the main partner.

The forum will take place from 4 to 5 December 2025 and will focus on five key sectors: sustainability and technology, tourism, digital assets and securitisation, real estate and infrastructure, agricultural technology (Agri-tech) and food security. It aims to bring together over 1,500 participants, including 70 institutional investors and 50 international speakers from more than 40 countries.

UAE Participation in Global Investors Forum 2025

This event marks a significant economic milestone for Georgia and the region. It will see the launch of strategic partnerships and major international memoranda of understanding between government and private investment institutions from various Arab and foreign countries. These agreements aim to foster cross-border financing in vital sectors like clean energy, sustainable technologies, medical tourism, smart infrastructure, and digital agriculture.

High-profile figures such as Dr Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), Hamid Mohammed bin Salem, Secretary-General of FCCI UAE, Aisha Mohammed Saeed Al Mulla, Chairwoman of the UAE Businesswomen Council, along with a delegation from SCC will attend. They will be joined by senior investors, ministers, heads of major economic institutions, sovereign wealth funds, multinational corporations, and delegations from over 40 countries.

Dr Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi highlighted the growing link between investment and sustainability amid global risks like climate change. He stated: "The links between investment and sustainability are growing stronger amid rising global risks such as climate change." He emphasised that integrating ESG standards helps investors reduce exposure to volatile assets while strengthening resilience.

Dr Sadeddine Mneimne described GIF as a strategic platform reshaping global cooperation by connecting GCC with Eurasia through a unified framework for investment. He noted: "The Global Investors Forum is not just a conference; it is a strategic economic platform reshaping the map of global cooperation." This edition in Tbilisi aims to strengthen economic integration between East and West.

Economic Impact

The forum represents an important step in advancing international cooperation between emerging markets and global investors. Hosting GIF 2025 reinforces Georgia's role in connecting the Middle East with Europe and Central Asia. UAE-Georgia relations have grown rapidly with increasing trade flows supported by major agreements exceeding USD 6 billion in development projects.

John W.H. Denton stressed the private sector's role in driving investments that help economies thrive: "In a time of uncertainty... our mission to make business work for everyone... has never been more urgent." The forum aims to foster long-term partnerships among governments, international institutions, and private sectors.

UAE's Economic Influence

The UAE accounts for over 63 percent of Georgia’s total trade with Arab countries. Its investments represent 5 percent of Georgia's total FDI making it Georgia’s sixth-largest global investor. GIF 2025 is expected to yield major agreements valued at hundreds of millions focusing on green projects advancing renewable energy innovation.

The anticipated outcomes will further solidify the UAE’s position as a global economic hub connecting GCC markets with Europe and Asia while strengthening its influence within the new global economic landscape.
