UAE And Paraguay Presidents Explore Opportunities To Strengthen Bilateral Ties For Sustainable Development

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President Santiago Peña of Paraguay recently met in Abu Dhabi. Their discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation to support sustainable development and prosperity for both nations. The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati during President Peña’s official visit to the UAE.

The leaders explored collaboration opportunities across various sectors, including development, economy, trade, renewable energy, food security, and climate action. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed highlighted the UAE's efforts to diversify its economic partnerships. He emphasised reinforcing constructive cooperation with Latin American countries, particularly Paraguay. This approach aligns with the UAE's strategy of fostering collective progress for mutual benefit.

The meeting also addressed recent regional and international developments, focusing on the Middle East situation. Both leaders stressed the importance of promoting peace and stability in the region and globally through intensified efforts.

President Peña expressed gratitude for the warm reception he received in the UAE. He admired the country's significant development and praised its leadership's strategic vision that continues to drive progress.

Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President.
